PUNTNGO facilitates the access of direct funding for national and local organizations in Puntland, ensuring equitable allocation of resources among its members. And also to increase Somali-led local decision-making power and increasing funding autonomy for local NGOs in Puntland.

PUNTNGO believes in community philanthropy, and indeed, citizen-led development is a central pillar of broader efforts to shift power and resources closer to the ground, strengthen local ownership of development processes, and amplify the ability of citizens and communities to be heard and to claim rights and entitlements.
