The Puntland NGO Network (PUNTNGO) has taken a significant step in defining its future direction by working on a comprehensive strategy that outlines its vision, mission, long-term goals, and the strategies required to achieve them. This initiative reflects PUNTNGO’s commitment to fostering collaboration and ensuring the inclusion of its member organizations in shaping its strategic roadmap.
Collaborative Drafting Process
The development of the strategy began with a series of consultations and drafting sessions led by the PUNTNGO Technical Team and Board of Directors. These sessions were hosted at the offices of various member organizations, including the Y-PEER Conference Hall, Hawa Feminist Coalition, and PMWDO in Garowe. This collaborative process underscored the inclusive and participatory approach of PUNTNGO in ensuring that the perspectives of its members were integral to the strategy.
Consultation Workshop
To further enhance the inclusivity of the strategy development process, PUNTNGO organized a one-day consultation workshop at Taleh Hotel in Garowe on July 18, 2024. This event brought together over 45 representatives from local organizations across Puntland, marking a pivotal moment in the strategy’s development.
During the workshop, the PUNTNGO Technical Team presented the draft strategy to the participants, providing a platform for discussion and feedback. Attendees engaged in dynamic discussions, offering their insights, suggestions, and recommendations to refine and strengthen the draft document.

The feedback and input gathered during the workshop will be incorporated into the strategy draft by the PUNTNGO Technical Team. The revised strategy will undergo further reviews and refinements before its finalization and implementation.
